Postgraduate studies

I would definitely like to take postgraduate studies in the future, I think it helps you be a better professional and expand your knowledge.

If I had to decide, I would consider sustainable architecture. It is always important to respect the environment and all the living creatures.

However, that does not mean you just have to take care of animals, you also have to be aware of energy. For example, I would love to live in a sustainable house, which produces its own energy. A few years ago, I started recycling and it changed my life, and that is why ecology will always be a part of me. Therefore, I believe if we all make something about it we can make this world better.

I would take on-site classes; I think it is better to do that. 

On the other hand, if I had not the time to do that, I would take online classes, but I feel there could be something missing through that system.

I would not mind if I do this here in Chile, but it would be great if I had the opportunity to study in another country (or both, who knows).

I made a promise to myself, and that is ‘’I will always take care of the world, animals, trees, water, and whoever that needs my help’’. Since I decided that, my life started to make more sense.

I invite you all to make a promise to yourselves and see how beautiful that is when you do something about it. 

My future job

This year I started to study architecture, and it was the best choice I could make. I studied engineering for 4 years and as hard as it was I decided to quit and start to do what I actually love in my life.

I imagine myself having a job where I can help the environment, developing strategies to make the world a better place to live, always taking care of living beings. I also would love to travel a lot doing what I love. I really hope I’ll visit beautiful places around the globe.

I think it’s important to earn good money when you work, but it’s not more important than doing what you really love and follow your dreams. I wish I could have both.

Besides architecture, I want to dedicate my life to music, that is one of my biggest dreams and I will fight for it. I can’t imagine my life without architecture and music, that would be perfect and I would not ask for more.

In the future I would like to design my own house and include a music room, where I can have everything I need, for example, a lot of instruments, recording devices, different kinds of lights, and so on.

Finally, I really hope everyone can follow their dreams and do what they really want, feeling passion about the choices the make.

Food

When it comes to food I get really excited, because I consider myself as a glutton person xD.

I love to eat, I love to try new flavours and I think that eating can turn in an unforgettable experience.

I also have problems at the moment of choosing my favourite dish, there is so many types of food and I think I will never be able to decide. Besides, there must be a lot of dishes I have not tried yet. I used to eat meat, but I quit 7 months ago, that changed my life, it was a hard decision and you have to be strong. The good part about that is that I feel I’m changing the world with my acts and I don’t miss meat at all.

Cooking is one of the things I like to do the most, I always cook when I am with my family (that means I don’t have to wash the dishes hahaha), and now that I moved to Santiago I cook for myself, I really like that too. It’s exciting when you try food you cooked.

For lunch I eat a lot of vegetables like lettuce, mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, onions, avocado, chive, cucumber. As I don’t eat meat, it’s important to never neglect proteins, I eat eggs (boiled, scrambled, omelette), a lot of beans, and soy. I like peanuts a lot, and they are a source of proteins too.

It’s been a long time since the last time I went to a restaurant, I don’t remember the name of the restaurant but I remember I ate pizza, it was so delicious. I will have to ask my brother what was that place because I definitely want to go again.

My Favourite Movie

It is hard to decide when it comes to favourite movies, and I think a lot of people have the same problem. 

If I had to choose a movie to talk about, I would have to think about a topic, for example, sports. In that case my favourite movie would be Coach Carter. 

This movie is about a man who becomes a basketball coach in a school of United States (Richmond Highschool). He has a porpuse: to make his players go to college, and he goes through really hard times trying to change theese people's life because they are not interested in that at first and there were serious problems between players, so coach Carter made them sign contracts, that means they have to assist to all their classes and sit in front of the classroom. Also, he was really tough at the moment of teaching about basketball.

The team started to win all the games and that made them compete in the state tournament, they didn’t win but the coach could make his players go to the university.

This is a very inspiring movie, and I totally recommend it, because it shows you how hard life can be, but you will always have friends and important people around you to make your dreams come true. Besides, it demonstrates how healthy and beautiful is when you practice sports, that opens many doors and brings great people to your life.

I don’t have a specific style of movies to watch. I try to open my mind and explore.

The last movie I saw is Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind, that is also one of my favourites and I can’t remember how many times I have watched it.
I love to see Jim Carrey in a dramatic character, and he does it really good. Kate Winslet’s character was also awesome, and I think after all their personalities just match and the story makes you think that it just feels right.

Movies can make us feel a lot of things we would never expect, so there is always a good time to watch one.

The Best Concert Ever

I went to the Red Hot Chili Peppers' concert with two of my brothers and my cousin in Santiago, 2011. We were waiting a long time for that to happen, and when the day finally arrived we were really excited about it.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are an american funk-rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1983, they have a really important professional career. This is showed by the fact that they are one of the best-selling bands of all time with over 80 million records sold worldwide.

The arena was crowded, and everybody was enjoying the event so much. When the band started to play ‘’Under the Bridge’’ everybody went crazy and sang along. I can’t find the words to describe that feeling, because I was in my favourite band’s live concert listening to my favourite song from them.

One of the things a like the most about this band is when they start to improvise during the concert. The connection between bass and guitar is amazing and unique. You can feel a dialog between them.

When the concert finished, I was by my own because I got lost among the crowd, and my brothers and cousin were in the same position. Also, neither of us had a cellphone. I don’t know how but we found each other and went back home together. I’ll never forget that concert.

A country I would like to visit

Everybody (or most of people) would like to travel and visit countries. If I had to choose one country, I would travel to England. It is kind of weird but I don’t really know that much about England, I just feel like I am connected to that part of the world.

I used to watch tv series where the story develops in England, for example, once I watched Penny Dreadful (I found it excellent), and I really felt that I wanted to go there immediately.

There are many things I would love to do if I visited England.
First, I would travel around the cities and observe the architectural aspects. I think that’s one of the things that would take a really long time, but I’ll definitely enjoy it.  I would visit places like the Bodiam Castle or the Westminster Abbey. and see monuments like the Stonehenge.

Also, I feel interested about studying there, learn about another culture, meet new people, and of course I would try to visit european countries as much as possible.   
I would totally live in England. If I had the chance to do that, there’s no doubt I’ll do it.

This doesn’t have to be a dream. I believe that everybody can turn dreams into reality, we just have to fight for it and be who we really want to be.

Blog

In this post I’m going to talk about personal information on the internet, and there’s no doubt this topic is something to think about.

Everyday people around the world are sharing photos, videos, posting opinions, commenting other people’s posts. Sometimes it’s about news happening somewhere in the planet, sometimes it’s about our personal life. And here’s the problem, ¿How personal is the information we share on the internet? ¿Are we aware about who is seeing our posts?

Posting information on the internet seems really normal, and I don’t have a problem with that. What really calls my atention are two things:

First, the fact that some people reach a point where they show things that are not even real. For instance, A person who shares a photo showing books and documents to study, writting in the post ‘’Time to study’’. After that, the person starts to do anything else but study. ¿Is that normal? ¿Why people use to show themselves on the internet as people they are not?
I like to share on social media photos or videos doing things that I’m actually doing, and that I really like and enjoy, like being in beautiful places or playing music with friends.

Second, I would like to say that social media can be really interesting and a way to feel closer to people, but also can turn dark and dangerous, because we are supposed to know who is on the other side and we are not always 100% sure about that.
This makes me feel kind of worried, specially when it’s about inocent human beings like kids. Sometimes parents don’t know the sites and things their child can get access to, so be careful.

Of course not everything on social media is bad. I love Youtube, I think that’s my favourite social media. You can see videos about whatever you want, for example, sports, music, videogames, documentaries. What I like to do the most on youtube is searching song’s covers from random people around the globe, you can find really talented people.
